Camila, an Argentine national, joined the GEF Secretariat in March 2012 as a Junior Professional Associate in the External Affairs team. She worked with that team for over two years to strengthen GEF relations with government focal points and civil society, and country relations with Agencies and Conventions through the Country Support Programme. Since 2014, Camila has worked for the Communications team in the Front Office, where she participates in the strategic positioning of the GEF through media relations, online communications, event marketing and other outreach initiatives.
Prior to joining the GEF, Camila worked at CLS Strategies, a PR firm in Washington DC focused on providing strategic counsel and communications support to leading companies, organizations, governments and political leaders. She also worked as a translator and interpreter for France 2 Television and for the International Monetary Fund. Camila holds a BA in International Studies from American University, and a master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
