Under GEF-5, all eligible parties will have direct access to GEF resources, up to US$500,000, to finance activities related to prepare national communication report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as per their obligations under Articles 4.1 and 12.1 of the UNFCCC. 

How to apply

To request support for enabling activities to prepare national communications through the Direct Access option, countries will use the template below to submit a proposal that includes a detailed description of the activities that will be carried out as well as their expected cost.

NB: Applications must be submitted to GEF Secretariat via email (GEF-DA-CC@thegef.org) by the GEF Operational Focal Point.
