The venue for the ECW is the Hotel y Villas Telamar.

The ECWs bring together GEF focal points, focal points from the main Conventions (Biodiversity, Desertification, Climate Change and POPs), representatives from civil society and representatives from the GEF Secretariat and the GEF Agencies.  

This year’s ECWs have a renewed agenda, with hands-on practical exercises on national capacity development (NCSA), results-based management, monitoring and evaluation, and synergies in project design presented by Convention Secretariats (CBD, UNFCCC, UNCCD).
