Global Partnerships

The GEF Evaluation Office is working together with a large number of partner organizations fostering international collaboration on various initiatives.

The Office is currently developing a Community of Practice for Monitoring and Evaluation Best Practices and Capacity Building on Climate Change and Development. The virtual community of practice creates, validates and disseminates evaluation information and knowledge and aims to identify dynamic demands by focusing on a member-based management system of relevant resources. This initiative is following-up to the International Conference on Climate Change and Development - organized by the office together with a large range of organizations, such as the French GEF (FFEM), International Development Research Center (IDRC of Canada and the UK), the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, US Agency for International Development (USAID),  the International Development Research Center (IDRC, of Canada and DFID of the UK); and the conference was supported both financially and with other contributions, by numerous individuals and partner organizations, including the International Development Evaluation Association (IDEAS).
