Dimitrios Zevgolis joined the GEF’s Climate and Chemicals team on March 24, 2008, as a Climate Change Specialist.

He was born and raised in Athens, Greece and graduated with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He holds an MBA in Engineering-Economic Systems and is a Ph.D. candidate and Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens.

Before joining the GEF, Dimitrios was working in the EU Programmes Management Unit of the Greek Ministry of Development where he was responsible for the planning, management, evaluation and monitoring of energy-sector programs and projects that were financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
