| Biography: | Henan XU, a Chinese national, joined the GEF on August 23, as a Junior Professional Associate for the Climate and Chemicals team. Prior to joining the GEF, Henan worked for the Bloomberg New Energy Finance as a research intern with the New Carbon Finance (NCF) division. Her main publications with NCF include Investment Opportunities for US-based Offset Projects and Value Chain Analysis for the North American Carbon Market. Henan was also a co-author of China’s Clean Revolution II: Opportunities for a Low Carbon Future, published by The Climate Group. Henan holds a Masters of Public Administration from Columbia University, and a B.S. in Economics from Tsinghua University. Her graduation workshop “Lighting Africa in Ghana” was given the Leous/Parry Award for Progressive Sustainability by Columbia University. She had interned in various organizations, including European Commission Delegation in China, and South Asian Research and Development Initiative in India. |
