Water Body Selection Criteria and Process for GEF IW Evaluation. 

As a part of the process that selected the South China Sea for the IW impact evaluation, the GEFEO first conducted a portfolio analysis of various international water bodies to determine which water body was most appropriate for assessment. This paper contains an overview of the four types of water bodies GEF IW projects target, a list of the criteria used to select the appropriate water body for evaluation, and a discussion of the water body selection process.
