| Description | This project will phaseout direct annual consumption of at least 806 metric tons of weighted ozone-depleting substance potential, or about 77% of Belarus' 1994 weighted consumption, through phaseout of CFCs in three refrigeration manufacturing and servicing subprojects, and five subprojects in the solvent industry. In addition, it will support a small program in technology transfer and training for the fire protection sector, and a national ODS Phaseout unit. |
| Implementation Status | The project has been completed successfully with an overall highly satisfactory performance rating. GEF grant funds have been fully committed. This was the only ODS Phase-out project in the region to be implemented within the originally planned three year period. The project funds are fully committed and the final disbursement application and final project audit were reviewed by the Bank. ICR was completed on 3/30/2001. . The Bank cancelled as of 6/20/2002 the amount of SDR29,758.60 (equivalent US$37,239.87) and a Notification of Cancellation was sent out to Recipient in September 2002. |
