| Description | The Overall Objective of this Project is biodiversity friendly, sustainable development of the Tisza floodplain. The Project Immediate Objective is to establish biodiversity friendly, holistic floodplain management as the dominant development paradigm in the Upper Tisza floodplain. |
| Implementation Status | Four newsletters financed by the Project were published. The Board of SZÖVET (Tisza Alliance) met three times to adapt strategy and action plan to changes of the project environment. The map for cyclists on the Tisza was published. A forum for farmers was held in the Borsodi Mezõség. A field work was organized for Budapest Corvinus University landscape planning students in the Bodrogköz Initiative Site. A ‘Local Product Festival’ was organized by the Borsodi Mezõség Initiative. The Action Plan of the Bereg Initiative was published. Contracts were signed with nearly all of the award winner beneficiaries of the Microgrant Fund in all 6 project areas. The SZÖVET and other Hungarian green NGOs submitted detailed comments on the National Agricultural and Rural Development Program to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hungary, and the DG-AGRI of the EU. The SZÖVET organised a 5 days field-trip for East European experts. |
