| Description | This Project aims to promote the sustainable management of the Pomoriisko Lake and wetland ecosystem by fostering a combination of restoration, conservation and sustainable production activities. Through a partnership comprised of an NGO, the local municipality and the private sector, the project will integrate the conservation of globally important bird habitat and unique hyper-saline plant and animal communities with the sustainable management of tourism and the area’s natural resources. |
| Implementation Status | All preparation activities were completed and (PDF-A grant) Completion Report was delivered. The main project was made effective on 3/8/2005 and the initial disbursement was processed now that the World Bank has received and accepted the Memorandum of Understanding between Green Balkans (NGO) and the Municipality. The mission undertaken in May 2005 confirmed that the overall the project is progressing satisfactorily. |
