| Description | The overall project goal is to identify and safeguard Globally Important Ingenious Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) and their associated landscapes, agricultural biodiversity and knowledge systems, through mobilizing global recognition and support for such systems and enhancing global, national and local benefits derived through their dynamic conservation, sustainable management and enhanced viability. Ultimately the project will be catalytic in establishing a long term program building on the experiences and lessons learnt in a few pilot systems. |
