| Description | Project develops national master plan for generation and utilization of bioenergy, creates commercially viable packages for replication, and promotes and disseminates technology for high-rate biomethanation. Project will introduce, demonstrate, and standardize a wide variety of cost-effective technologies. |
| Implementation Status | During 1998, construction work started on the biomethanation plant for treatment of tannery fleshing and sludge. Subprojects were set up - four have been completed and two are under execution. A third issue of the newsletter 'Bio Energy News' was published, workshops were held, and a second Tripartite Review meeting was held. Very good progress is being made. |
