| Description | Mt. Isarog has a unusually high concentration of biological diversity and due to its geographical isolation it accounts for a a large number of endemic species. However there is a depletion in the biodiversity due to various reasons. The project seeks long-term impact on the biodiversity loss by tackling not just the immediate threats of forest loss but also its key threats. |
| Implementation Status | The project was operationally closed in May 2005. In September 2007, a Memorandum of Agreement was forged between the Implementing Agency, CARE-Philippines and Haribon Foundation to utilize the remaining fund balance of the Project for the packaging and publishing of at least 5 relevant knowledge products on biodiversity resulting from the implementation of UNDP-GEF projects including the Mt. Isarog Threat Reduction Analysis Report. |
