Works for the Policies & Finance Team as an Operations Analyst. Bjoern provides user support and training for the GEF PMIS (Project Management Information System). In addition, he generates customized reports for the GEF Secretariat. He maintains the PMIS database, its data quality and project documentation as well as the Country Profile and Project database of the GEF Website. Bjoern supports the collection of business requirements and corresponding enhancements of PMIS and the coordination of PMIS bug fixes and trouble shooting.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Bjoern was a Senior Consultant and Technical Lead for eight years. He was mainly involved in projects of telecommunications, utility and banking industries. He gained broad knowledge regarding IT projects centered around databases, reporting & front end systems and contributed in project teams as SW designer & developer, data modeler, data analyst and project manager. From 1997 to 2000, Bjoern worked as a SW engineer for the German Space Operations Centre (GSOC), designing and programming SW for real-time and offline processing of satellites' telemetry data.

Bjoern holds a Master of Physics from the University of Bielefeld, Germany, and an MBA from the University of Leicester, UK.
