ABSTRACT:

Katherine Hamilton, President of GridWise Alliance, will talk about how their coalition defines smart grid and the policies for which it advocates. She will talk about projects in the United States as well as efforts overseas and will give the audience a basic understanding of smart grid technologies and how they enable development of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

She will also talk about climate and energy policy efforts and how smart grid can enable those to become more effective.
