The Integrated Approach Pilot (IAP) program on Fostering Resilience and Sustainability for Food Security in sub-Saharan Africa, rebranded by partners as Resilient Food Systems, (RFS), is tackling drivers of environmental degradation in smallholder agricultural systems, specifically in the drylands. The approach aims to generate multiple global environment benefits by promoting a holistic approach improving agricultural productivity, while enhancing long-term sustainability and resilience of the system. The report highlights emerging lessons and experiences from implementation of the program across 12 countries, including key innovations for achieving scale and impactful outcomes.
