The overall objective of the Expanded Constituency Workshop is to provide an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and generate necessary awareness and capacity on the latest GEF program and policies. The proposed approach will share GEF experiences from past replenishments piloting integration, help to increase knowledge, and strengthen capacities on proposed interventions to achieve impacts at scale. Specific objectives include the following:
- highlight the importance of integration in achieving global environmental benefits anchored on GEF focal areas and meeting MEA targets of countries;
- disseminate the GEF's integrated approach programming aimed at maximizing impactful outcomes at scale;
- demonstrate how the integrated approach is applied across various settings and provide added values to the GEF historical programming, including how to deal with complexities;
- increase understanding and build capacity of participants on the key elements of the integrated approach to achieve transformational change; and
- exchange lessons learned on cross-cutting themes leading to successful implementation - gender, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and private sector involvement.
