Klaipeda Geothermal Demonstration
Project Summary
This project helps to finance construction of a demonstration geothermal plant to provide hot water to the Klaipeda district heating system, as well as modifications to the heating system to render it compatible with geothermally heated water. It will reduce annual CO2 emissions by an estimated 56,000 tons, and reduce SO2, NOx and TPM emissions significantly too.
