National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plan and Report to COP
Project Summary
The Biodiversity Enabling Activity for Senegal will assist the Ministry of the Environment and Nature Protection and the Conseil Supérieur des Ressources Naturelles et de l’Environnement (CONSERE) in developing a National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (BSAP). The BSAP will build on and reinforce other existing national strategies and plans, such as the National Environment Action Plan. The project will allow Senegal to meet its obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) by assisting the preparation of an Interim Report to the Conference of Parties (COP) of June 1997 and its first Country Report to the COP.
