National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy, and Action Plan and Country Report to COP
Project Summary
The Biodiversity Enabling Activity for Mali will assist the Ministry of Rural Development and Environment (MDRE) and the Comité Interministériel du Suivi (CIS) in developing a National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (BSAP). The BSAP will build on and reinforce other existing national strategies and plans, such as the National Environmental Action Plan. The project will allow Mali to meet its obligations under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) by assisting the preparation of an Interim Report to the Conference of Parties (COP) of June 1997 and its first Country Report to the COP.
