Project Summary
Cape Verde had prepared the “National Environmental Action Plan 1994-2005 (NEAP)” for sustainable development. The main goals are: poverty alleviation; food security; soil conservation; the fight against deforestation and desertification; water management and conservation; energy conservation and the introduction of renewable energies; biodiversity and fishery protection; comfort, hygiene and sanitation of the population; population growth; pollution control; and information and education in the areas of the environment.
