Enabling Georgia to Fulfill its Commitments to the UNFCCC

Project Summary

The project is an exercise to enhance general awareness and knowledge of CC issues in Georgia to enable these to be taken into account for future planning and strategy formulation for different economical and technical sectors and to strengthen Georgia's role in the international scientific forums and negotiating processes related to Climate Change. The project will assist Georgia in identifying concrete response measures to Climate Change for projects which can be further developed with national/international funding. The main emphasis will be on win-win measures, which represent a least-cost option to meet national development goals, and which address the global Climate Change issue.
