Assessment of Capicity-building needs for Biodiversity and Participation in CHM
Project Summary
The Vanuatu government will use add-on funding to implement a participatory process to: review the current functional capacity of national, provincial and local organisations to address the issues identified; identify actions needed to raise capacity to the level required to manage biodiversity in accord with the NBSAP; identify constraints on relevant stakeholder agencies on how these can be addressed; work with the NBAC and relevant sectoral agencies and NGOs to reach concensus on specific actions for on-going capacity building and the strategic responsibility of different agencies for implementation of these actions; where appropriate prepare detailed costings and budgets for work to address capacity building needs; prepare an overview report and submit recommendations to national and provincial governments.
