Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Use of the Marine Resources at Con Dao National Park

The project will implement the management plan for marine areas of Con Dao National Park by developing programs of planning, zoning, boundary demarcation, park infrastructure and human resource development; monitor biodiversity and marine resources, and to rehabilitate the ecosystem degraded by natural catastrophes and human impacts; encourage community participation in biodiversity conservation through education, awareness and joint development of livelihood support programmes; develop communications strategy, education and awareness programmes for use with fishing and other coastal communities as well as local officials, and implement programmes; and implement a livelihood support program in the communities in Con Dao district.
