Assessment of Capacity Building Needs, Preparation of the Third National Report (CBD) and the Clearing House Mechanism
Project Summary
This project follows on from a first Enabling Activity for $192,832 in 1998. The outputs of this first phase were: - A Biodiversity Clearing House Mechanism and its website;- A National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAP) that was presented to the Conference of the Parties in Kuala Lumpur;- First and Second reports were finalized and submitted- Communications materials were prepared.The general objective of the project is to evaluate existing needs and to propose a programme to build instituional anmd human resurces capacity for conservation and sustainable use of Jamaica's biodiversity.
