The Project Objective is to address and contain the rapid environmental degradation in the upper watershed of the Southern part of Haiti through the integration of sustainable land and forest management practices at the watershed level. In Addition, the project seeks to support forest restoration and implementation of a carbon stock and sequestration monitoring system to enhance the understanding of impacts by changes in land use systems and vegetation/forest cover on carbon sequestration and emissions avoided.
