Project Summary
The objective of the project is to create an enabling regulatory and policy environment in China by establishing laws, regulations, and standards; strengthening institutions for monitoring; improving R&D and promoting technology transfer; facilitating data and information collection; enhancing supervision and enforcement; and raising awareness of stakeholders on POPs issues. The project will carry out regulatory and institutional strengthening activities which will not and cannot effectively be undertaken by the thematic projects that China is engaged in to implement the Stockholm Convention.
