The objective is to promote the integration of restoration practices across the pastureland management sector to improve nature-based outcomes and human well-being by fostering Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to avoid, reduce, and reverse pastureland land degradation, advancing the country’s Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) targets while enhancing the sustainability of local livelihoods. The project will generate global environmental benefits by restoring at least 700 hectares of pasturelands, improving practices on 20,000 hectares of landscape, mitigating 744,233 MtCO2 greenhouse gas emissions, benefiting about 3,500 people (of which 52% are women).
