To control, reduce and where feasible eliminate mercury emissions from India’s primary non-ferrous metal production by implementing innovative best practices, demonstrating suitable technologies, capacity building, and disseminating lessons learned and knowledge through a multi-stakeholder collaborative approach, thereby supporting the country in meeting its obligations under the Minamata Convention and reducing the adverse impacts of mercury on human health and the environment.
