Global Microfinance Initiative for Locally Led Action - South Africa

To (i) decommission the Komati coal-fired power plant, (ii) repurpose the project area with renewables, and (iii) create opportunities for workers and communities during the transition process.
The GEF Microfinance activities will strengthen the ecosystem for microfinance in South Africa and improve global knowledge and implementation of microfinance in locally led climate and biodiversity action.
