To promote the conservation and restoration of biodiversity in the state’s grassland ecosystem by mainstreaming biodiversity conservation within the forestry, agriculture, and livestock productive landscapes. The project’s objective will be achieved by: (i) promoting actions that assist farmers to restore and maintain priority areas for biodiversity conservation where ecosystem fragility and threats to biodiversity occur; (ii) conserving biodiversity by strengthening the implementation of public policies that enhance the development of improved management systems and production practices, including raising awareness and building institutional capacity; and (iii) securing the functions, dynamics and evolution of threatened ecosystems and endemic species while consolidating the network of protected areas within the biome.
