The general objective of the project is to contribute to the long-term viability of threatened priority species, avoid carbon emissions and increase forest and non-forest area under sustainable management practices in three Brazilian biomes: Caatinga, Pampa e Pantanal. The specific objectives are: (i) expand coverage and effectiveness of the protected areas system in those biomes (Components 1 and 2); (ii) improve management of priority habitats and priority species (Components 3 and 4); and (iii) foster community-driven sustainable use practices in productive areas associated to the PA system (Component 5).
