The project will be designed to help countries operationalize information access and public participation in a manner that advances the goals of reducing toxics and nutrients discharges to the Danube River Basin. As such, the activities conducted in Hungary and Slovenia will serve as a pilot for future efforts to operationalize public involvement in support of pollution reduction in the Danube in other countries in the Danube River basin.
