Laura Gaensly Cordeiro

Laura brings over 15 years of expertise in climate and development finance across multilateral development banks, bilateral donors, the private sector, and civil society in more than 25 countries. Her career spans the InterAmerican Development Bank, IFC (World Bank Group), and DFID/FCDO, where she led work on the Climate Investment Funds, blended finance for climate investments, served as Deputy Head of DFID Brazil, and led concessional finance origination across climate funds. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Laura is a lawyer by training, holds an MSc in development management from the London School of Economics, and completed executive education at Harvard Kennedy School. She is a native Portuguese speaker, fluent in English and Spanish.
