Evelyn Swain
Evelyn Swain was previously on detail with the GEF from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She has over 7 years experience developing and implementing policies designed to protect the environment. From 2005 to 2011, she worked for the US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Atmospheric Programs, where she was responsible for initiatives addressing both ozone layer protection and climate change. She helped manage US implementation of the Montreal Protocol, and launched government/private partnerships across industry sectors to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Steffen Hansen
Steffen Hansen was an Environmental Specialist at the Global Environment Facility. While at the GEF he worked as a program manager on a global portfolio of projects focusing on strengthening institutions and policies for the purpose of sustainable water and nutrient management.
Sarah Wyatt
Sarah has a Masters in Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a BS in Biology and Government from the College of William & Mary. Between those degrees, Sarah worked for Conservation International in the science division focused on assessing the conservation status of species for the IUCN Red List. After CI, she spent a year in Costa Rica doing research on the interactions of global and local conservation organizations.
Alua Kennedy
Alua is a marketing communications professional from Kazakhstan. She came to GEF from the World Bank where she was implementing the online communications strategy of the Governance Global Practice. Alua has extensive experience with special events and digital content marketing. She has a BS in International Relations and Foreign Policy from Al-Farabi Kazakh State University and a MS in Communications from Ithaca College.
Xiaomei Tan
Xiaomei Tan was a Senior Climate Change Specialist at the GEF. She managed the GEF’s Energy and Transport Portfolio.
