The Consultations with Civil Society on Global Environmental Conventions took place on Wednesday, November 23, 2022.
Held in advance of the 63rd GEF Council meeting, this event aimed to place a spotlight on civil society engagement with multilateral environmental agreement (MEA) and gather insights from diverse youth and youth-led civil society, women groups, and Indigenous Peoples and local community organizations on their priorities and interests. This consultation is an important dialogue leading up to the CSO Forum planned for the GEF Assembly in June 2023, and will help inform the GEF partnership about the interests and roles of civil society actors active at global and local levels in the MEAs that the GEF serves.
