Andrea Michelson is an ecologist, having graduated from the National University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. With more than 15 years of experience in biodiversity and nature conservation, her work has mainly been focused in the design and development of projects, strategies and policies related to protected areas creation, planning, strengthening and management. Andrea is specialized in large-scale projects (regional, ecoregional, national). She worked for government and NGOs in Argentina, and for the IUCN South American Regional Office. She is an active member of the IUCN World Commission of Protected Areas.
