Elisson Wright is the Senior Program Coordinator for the World Bank-led Global Wildlife Program (GWP). He leads the execution of the GWP and provides guidance to program stakeholders across 20 projects in Asia and Africa. Elisson authored the Analysis of international funding to tackle illegal wildlife trade report. He joined the environment unit of the World Bank in 2004, then from 2006-2015 worked in the private sector leading sustainability, climate change, and transportation programs. He returned to the Bank in 2015 to work on the design and implementation of the GWP. He holds an MBA and MS from the University of Maryland, where he also completed the Life Sciences Scholars Program.
