CSP Stakeholder Empowerment Series: Updated Guidelines on the Project and Program Cycle (French)
The fifth Country Support Program Stakeholder Empowerment Series (SES) webinar took place on July 28, 2021 for French-speaking audiences and covered topics related to the updated guidelines on the project and program cycle published in 2020, available in French and English.
Over 20 participants joined the webinar from the following countries: Benin, Chad, Congo DR, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, The Comoros, Togo, and Tunisia.
Learning from Good Practices: Innovative Approaches to Create Nature-based Livelihood Opportunities
This virtual webinar introduced three projects supported by the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF), Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF), and GEF Trust Fund, which effectively strengthened resilience and socio-economic benefits in rural communities through innovative approaches to create nature-based livelihood opportunities, while achieving strong global environment benefits including reduction of GHG emissions, restoration of land, conservation of dry forest, and climate change adaptation.
GEF Consultations with Civil Society on Youth-led Advocacy and Solutions
The Global Environment Facility partnership brought together representatives from youth and youth-led civil society and Indigenous peoples and local community organizations. Participants discussed the GEF’s mission and its increased ambition for the eighth replenishment (GEF-8) of the GEF Trust Fund and beyond.
