Sarah has a Masters in Environmental Science from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a BS in Biology and Government from the College of William & Mary. Between those degrees, Sarah worked for Conservation International in the science division focused on assessing the conservation status of species for the IUCN Red List. After CI, she spent a year in Costa Rica doing research on the interactions of global and local conservation organizations. At Yale, her research looked at how management of oil palm plantations influences biodiversity (birds, butterflies, and amphibians) in Cesar, Colombia.
