Mainstreaming ecological planning for biodiversity conservation through territorial planning instruments and the operation of financing mechanisms with the effective participation of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities

The objective of the project is to mainstream and promote the implementation of Ecological Planning at the national and subnational levels through effective integration in institutions, the incorporation of biodiversity criteria in terrestrial territorial planning instruments and marine-coastal zoning, and the operation of financing mechanisms for biodiversity conservation, with the effective participation of IPLC. The aim is to: 1) Standardize EP at the national and subnational levels; 2) Institutionalize EP (integrate EP into institutional processes and territorial planning instruments); and 3) Increase financing for conservation through economic instruments.
