GEF Climate Change Adaptation Funds
The GEF is a family of funds that supports climate change adaptation in developing countries mainly through the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and the Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF).

The principals of the four multilateral Climate Funds – the Adaptation Fund, the Climate Investment Funds, the GEF, and the Green Climate Fund – convened to discuss their role in delivering climate finance to developing countries.

The event showcased the efforts being made by the GEF and its partners to streamline and enhance access to finance. Country representatives shared their experiences and lessons learned and explored ways to expand and replicate positive outcomes in the future.

This event was jointly organized by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Green Climate Fund, the GEF, the Secretariat of UNFCCC, and UNEP. It explored opportunities to address biodiversity and climate change challenges through integration with multiple benefits.
